Installation Steps


 

  1. Upload the WP Google+ Activity Widget Plugin folder to the /wp-content/plugins/ directory via FTP. OR Add the TwitterRSS Plugin via the WordPress Plugins menu.
  2. Activate the plugin through the ‘Plugins’ menu in WordPress
  3. Add the Widget to the desired sidebar in the WordPress Widgets menu.
  4. Insert your Widget Title, Google+ API Key (i.e webdesignergeek) and Google+ User ID (i.e webdesignergeeks) & Save it.
  5. Verify that it works and Rate the plugin.
  6. Leave a comment regarding bugs, feature request, Tea recipes at ajay@geekslabs.com

Get Your Free Google+ API Key


 

  1. Open https://code.google.com/apis/console#access.
  2. Login with your google account and click “Create Project”.
  3. Under service list, click “off” button next to “Google+ API” to turn it on.
  4. Accept the agreement.
  5. From the left menu, Go to “API Access” and copy your API key.
  6. Insert placeholder div as in the above code in your page where the widget should appear.
  7. Note that, you need to set the class name of div tag as “google-plus-activity” to have the widget loaded automatically.
  8. Set widget options as a list of comma-delimited values and surrounded by braces. “user” option is mandatory, to set your Google+ profile ID or Google+ Page ID.

Get Your Google+ User ID


 

1. Log in to Google+ Account.
2. Click on the “profile” tab to view your own profile.
         If you look at the URL in the address bar, it should look something like this:
         https://plus.google.com/107285294994146126204/posts
3. The long numerical string in the URL is your Google+ ID. Here is mine from the URL above:
          Your Google+ User ID: 113551191017950459231
